Procurement

Procurement is the process of finding and agreeing to terms, and acquiring goods, services, or works from an external source, often via a tendering or competitive bidding process.

The Corporation of Township of Stone Mills is committed to ensuring its procurement decisions are fair, open and transparent; purchases made by Township of Stone Mills should reflect best value for the taxpayer, protect the Corporation's financial interests and encourage competitive bidding. The Corporation of Township of Stone Mills has adopted and maintained a policy concerning the procurement of good and services through By-Law 2019-1001. Surplus Equipment and Vehicles

Occasionally, the Township may deem equipment, vehicles, and other assets as surplus and those items are disposed of through a public auction. Items are typically sold “as is” and “where is” and there is no warranty or guarantee.  All available auction items are advertised on the GovDeals website.

Sale of Real Property

The sale of public lands by the Township is regulated by By-Law 2009-511.  View the process required for the sale of real property.

Group Purchasing

Public notice as required by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement: The Township of Stone Mills will participate in procurements conducted by Local Authority Services (LAS).
