The Township of Stone Mills has a variety of facilities and rooms to meet your rental needs, whether you are looking for a hall or meeting room.

Booking Information

A refundable deposit in the amount of $50.00 must be submitted to the Municipal Office at the time a hall is rented to cover cleaning and obtaining a key. Other deposits may apply with respect to specific facilities.

To reserve a date for a community hall please download and complete the HALL RENTAL AGREEMENT FORM.  For all hall rentals, please provide the completed Community Hall Rental Agreement to Mabel Wilson at the Municipal Office. Email to reservations@stonemills.com.

2020-1054 Properties Procedures and Rental By-law

The following fee structure is applicable to all hall rentals:

  • Not for profit community based organizations - $20.00* for 5 hour maximum,
  • Individuals for private functions - starts at $75.00* for 5 hour maximum,
  • For regular ongoing facility rentals, keys are available for the convenience of the renter at the Township office, upon payment of a $50.00 key and cleaning deposit pending the return of the keys.

* Please Note:  All hall rentals are subject to HST which is in addition to the hall rental fee.

Liquor Licensed Events

Liquor licensed events may be held at the Enterprise Hall and the Newburgh Hall. When liquor is being served, the fee is increased to $225.00.  Persons or associations intending to host a liquor licensed event must provide to the Township a Certificate of Insurance identifying general liability insurance in an amount of not less than $1,000,000.00 and which identifies the Township of Stone Mills as a "named insured".

Special Events

By-Law 2019-965 Regulate Public Events which regulate out door pubic events was enacted on March 4, 2019. Through a permit process, the Township will consider the nature of the event and may implement controls that could have an impact on persons attending at the event or on property in the vicinity of the event. Subject to certain exemptions intended for associations primarily of a local nature, this By-Law will regulate events where there could be 250 or more persons attending at the event.

Alcohol Policy

In 2004, the Township adopted a policy to manage the consumption of alcohol in all Township owned premises.  This policy is equally applicable in all community halls including the community centre when alcohol is being offered.  Persons considering offering alcohol for sale during the rental of a community hall should make themselves familiar with this policy.
