Due to positive interest in the proposed food waste diversion pilot program, we will be reopening the sign up for those interested in participating!!

Pilot Program Participation:

The FoodCycler program, which has gained recognition and success in Dysart et al. and Carleton Place, started providing municipal programs in 2020, now with 78 municipalities signed up to participate. Many of these programs were funded in part by a grant from the Impact Canada Food Waste Reduction Challenge.

For those who missed the first registration and wish to participate in this subsidized pilot program, FoodCycle Science has reopened the pre-registration survey seeking if there is substantial public interest to run the Pilot Program. Residents interested must be willing to:

  • purchase a FoodCycler unit at a cost of $150 to $300
  • track the number of cycles over an 12-week period
  • complete a survey at the end of the 12-week period

Please complete the survey by no later than November 30, 2023 by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Stonemills .
