Township of Stone Mills Significant Weather Event Ended

THE TOWNSHIP OF STONE MILLS PUBLIC WORKS DECLARES THE END OF THE SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT

After reviewing the incoming and current weather forecast and inspecting the current sidewalk and road conditions, the Township of Stone Mills is hereby declaring the end of the significant weather event by the Minimum Maintenance Standards, O. Reg. 239/02.

Motorists are encouraged to continue driving with caution and be aware of high snow banks that still exist in the hamlets, and at intersections, as sightlines may be reduced for traffic and pedestrians.

Please refrain from on-street parking to allow municipal crews to continue removing snow and improving travel corridors. Please be patient and cautious, as snow removal operations will continue over several days.

We offer our sincere gratitude to the Township staff for their dedication and extended hours worked over the last week dedicated to keeping our roads and sidewalks passable and our Township equipment operable.
