The Township of Stone Mills receives funding through the Canada Community-Building Fund (formerly known as the Gas Tax). This funding allows the Township to complete road resurfacing upgrades throughout the municipality. A resurfaced road allows commuters to travel a safer, more durable and sustainable road network. This funding is used to partially fund the annual Township Resurfacing Program with signage identifying the limits of the individual project. In 2023, the Township of Stone Mills received $146,845.10 through this federal funding stream.

In 2023, the Township’s resurfacing program included 6.7 kilometres of road rehabilitation, Bradshaw Road, Cedarstone Road, South Shore Drive and Howes Road. The resurfacing program primarily addresses road surface improvements which will increase the longevity of the municipal assets.
The Township of Stone Mills would like to thank the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) for this funding allocation utilized to deliver a safer road network.
